On this evening workshop you will make a large two-dimensional fish, woven from natural willow. This makes a wonderful statement platter for your dining table for serving or displaying bread, fruit or cheese, or alternatively hang it on your wall as a piece of decorative art. You will be able to make one large fish during this workshop or, if you prefer, several much smaller ones. No previous experience is required - ideal for beginners to willow weaving.
£35 - includes all materials, use of tools, and refreshments
This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners, but please bear in mind that a certain amount of manual strength and dexterity is required when working with willow. The projects covered on my workshops have been selected for their relative simplicity and suitability for beginners. Throughout the workshop students may need to use specialist basketry tools (provided), many of which are either sharp or pointed, so a sensible approach to personal safety is essential!
Class size is limited to 6 participants so that I can provide maximum individual attention.
Refreshments are provided.
A work apron is recommended.
