Make a wigwam for your garden to support climbing beans or flowering climbers. Adds height and interest to the border; a feature in itself! The finished height will depend on the willow available, but should be a minimum of 7 ft with a diameter of approx 2 ft . . . do make sure you have room in your car to transport it home! IMPORTANT: If Government guidelines change there is the possibility that this workshop will have to be held OUTDOORS. Please bring suitable clothing!

This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners, but please bear in mind that a certain amount of manual strength and dexterity is required when working with willow.  All projects covered on my workshops have been selected for their relative simplicity and suitability for beginners.  Throughout the workshop students may need to use specialist basketry tools (provided), many of which are either sharp or pointed, so a sensible approach to personal safety is essential!

Class size is now limited to 5 participants so that I can provide maximum individual attention, as well as following Covid guidelines.

Refreshments are provided - please bring a packed lunch - or make use of the village shop next for where food and drinks can be purchased.

A work apron is recommended.

Warm clothing, should the workshop have to take place outdoors.
